Mango trees are in full bloom throughout south Florida. Here’s how to maximize the amount of fruit that your tree will produce. Begin spraying now with Copper Fungicide from your local garden center. Follow label directions. Applications should be made once a week for four weeks and every fourth week thereafter until harvest. Follow the same protocol for Avocados and Citrus trees. Peeled and sliced mangos can be frozen and stored for up to a year! They can be served alone or with milk, as a dessert topping and are a hit at tropical themed parties in daiquiris! Bon appetit!
